Established in 2007, PaxOcean is part of Kuok Maritime Group under Kuok Group Singapore. The Group specializes in the construction, conversion, and repair of marine and offshore assets across both conventional and renewable energy sectors, operating five shipyards in Singapore, China, and Indonesia, and an MRO facility in Saudi Arabia.

PaxOcean Engineering Zhoushan Shipyard Co. Ltd. PaxOcean Zhoushan in Zhejiang, China, is equipped with two ultra-large graving docks, a pier berth of 576m with 12m water depth and a 900T crane. The docks are built to accommodate all types of VLCC, VLOC, OBO, Suezmax and FPSO vessels of up to 400,000 DWT, and large container ships of up to 24,000 TEUs.

Since the yard began operations in 2010, it has established a strong track record of providing quality and on-time services to PaxOcean global customers, including repair projects for tankers, containerships, dry cargo, gas carriers and offshore rigs.

PaxOcean Graha is a modern, purpose-built rig and offshore construction specialist yard, equipped with the largest crawler crane in Indonesia at 1,250T. With a skilled workforce and robust yard facilities, Graha has the capability and resources to construct high technical specification rigs that deliver optimal performance.

In 2009, Graha yard successfully penetrated the high-tech rig construction market to become the first facility of its kind in Batam, Indonesia. Over the years, expertise has expanded from CJ46 design jack-up drilling rigs and highly specialised self-propelled jack-ups, to sophisticated Split Hopper and Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger designs.

PaxOcean has stepped up its range of services by offering a Green Recycling Program. The ship recycling facility in Batam complies with the requirements of the EU Ship Recycling Regulation.

PaxOcean Nanindah specialises in shipbuilding and steel fabrication, with a core focus on the construction of vessels in the offshore oil and gas market. It is located on a 570,000m² site with 15 building berths, capable of executing 15 concurrent new building projects, and has an established reputation for its repair capabilities and quick turnaround.

Since 2007, the yard has successfully completed the construction of high-technology speciality vessels such as DP3 compact semi-submersibles, high specification platform supply vessels and freezer fishing trawlers.

PaxOcean PT. Drydocks World Pertama

Indonesia

PaxOcean Pertama (Batam, Indonesia): the shipyard is located on a 280,000m² site in the north-western coast of Batam, sharing a common boundary with PaxOcean Graha yard, while lying within proximity to Nanindah. This enables our principals to utilize yard’s resources with greater flexibility to meet their customers’ needs.

Pertama yard recently acquired a new floating dock that is 300m long, 59m wide with 82,000 TLC, capable of accommodating vessels up to Suezmax category. As part of the upgrading program, our principals constructed a new jetty extension of 300m with a water depth of 8m, which offers docking of Panamax-sized vessels and afloat repairs of VLCC-sized vessels.

PaxOcean Singapore: As from November 2025 PaxOcean Singapore has moved to 5 Jalan Samulun.

Located in the heart of Singapore’s maritime hub and being strategically positioned within the Jurong Industrial Estate, PaxOcean offers close proximity to key OEMs and suppliers, with seamless access to PaxOcean Batam via a 45-minute sail. The site is also just a 45-minute drive from Changi Airport and 20 minutes from the city center.

5 Jalan Samulun (5JS) represents the next generation of PaxOcean Singapore’s shipyard capabilities. Spanning 172,600 square metres, the facility features two graving docks and one floating dock, enabling our principals to handle docking and repair works for vessels of up to Suezmax size. With expanded capacity and purpose-built infrastructure, 5JS strengthens shipyard’s ability to deliver more complex and technically advanced projects with greater efficiency, scale, and reliability.

PaxOcean Singapore shipyard is adequately equipped to accommodate a wide range of vessels, from offshore & specialised vessels and commercial ships, with the capacity to handle vessels up to Suezmax size. Our principals are committed to environmental responsibility, proudly holding BCA Green Mark Platinum and SLE (Super Low Energy) certifications. Shipyard’s facility is powered by large-scale photovoltaic panels that harness renewable energy, complemented by an energy-efficient ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) system that optimizes climate control while minimizing energy consumption. This commitment to sustainability drives our principals’ efforts to reduce the environmental impact and support a greener future for the maritime industry.

The new facility of PaxOcean Singapore houses iHub5, an Innovation Hub designed to serve as the nexus for deep-tech development, strategic partnerships, and advanced R&D. iHub5 focuses on key areas such as digital twins, IoT, carbon capture, electrification, and alternative and green fuels. Through facilities like the Simulation Centre and Virtual Environment Test Bed, our principals enable the co-creation and test-bedding of emerging technologies.
